
Jennifer’s main practice areas are banking and finance, company law, and mergers & acquisitions. Her experience in mergers & acquisitions extends to cross-border acquisitions in the banking sector. She has advised financial institutions on regulatory matters ranging from assistance with the authorisation process to the passporting of their services and branches within the EU. She also represented credit institutions in judicial review cases (including before the ECB’s Administrative Board of Review). Jennifer has experience advising the Board of Directors of regulated companies on corporate governance (under both Maltese and European law) and listed issuers on company law, corporate governance and compliance with the Listing Rules. Jennifer regularly advises on corporate restructuring and corporate finance transactions, including real estate finance, and has extensive experience in construction contracts. She has also acted as company secretary to a local credit institution as well as to a company listed on the Malta Stock Exchange.
Educational Achievements
Jennifer holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Corporate and Commercial Law from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) from the University of Malta.
She was admitted to the bar in 2013.
