In the 1970s, Professor Refalo founded the firm today known as Refalo Advocates, primarily as a dispute resolution practice. Since then, it has grown to carry out a diverse array of expertise. However litigation remains close to the firm’s heart with Professor Refalo and most of its lawyers engaging in litigation before the courts and tribunals of Malta. The Firm boasts an extensive repertoire of prominent cases in Malta’s modern legal history.
Our team is experienced in both local and cross-border disputes, out of court settlements, local and foreign arbitrations and mediations. Two of its senior associates serve as arbitrators on civil, commercial, insurance and traffic panels. The Firm is particularly renowned for its vast experience in constitutional, public and administrative, European Human Rights, civil and commercial litigation.
